The work

What's Included

Outdoor rooms take the same coordination as indoor ones — carpentry, masonry, electrical, and drainage that all have to survive North Carolina weather. We build decks, porches, and patios engineered to be as solid in year twenty as on day one.

  • Decks, porches & screened rooms
  • Patios, walkways & masonry
  • Outdoor kitchens & fire features
  • Pergolas & shade structures
  • Lighting & exterior electrical
  • Railings, stairs & code compliance

Why one team

One Contract. One Point of Contact.

Outdoor projects cross trades in ways that are easy to miss: the deck ledger that has to be flashed into your house's siding, the conduit that has to be run before the patio is poured, the gas line for the outdoor kitchen. With one team planning all of it, nothing gets buried that should have gone in first.

“Let the house tell you what’s possible.”

The process

How Your Project Runs

  1. Consultation

We walk your space, talk through what you want, and give you an honest read on scope, budget, and what’s realistic.

  2. Plan & Proposal

You get a clear, detailed proposal — scope, timeline, and price — with no vague line items or surprises later.

  3. We Build

Our team handles every trade and every permit, keeps the site clean, and keeps you updated so you're never left guessing.

  4. Final Walkthrough

We walk the finished project together and don't consider it done until you're satisfied.

FAQ

Outdoor Living: Common Questions

Do decks need a permit?

In most cases, yes — especially a deck attached to the house or raised off the ground. We pull the permit and build to the residential code's deck requirements, including how the deck attaches to your house.

What can you build besides a deck?

Covered and screened porches, patios and walkways, outdoor kitchens and fire features, pergolas and shade structures, and the lighting and electrical that make them usable after dark.

Can you screen in or cover an existing deck or porch?

Often, yes — if the existing structure can carry a roof. We'll check the framing and footings first and tell you honestly whether it can be built on or should be rebuilt.
